The charming true adventures of Berber, an orphaned lamb, who thinks he is a part of the family when he bonds with his adoptive human mother.
Written from Berber's point-of-view, the story details his many escapades with other strange farm creatures and how he finally learns to accept his place as a lamb, and his "mother" as his shepherd who guides him through his young life and protects him from the dangers of his world.
Berber's antics will delight you with his lamb's view of life, and the spiritual message that all creatures should be grateful for what God created them to be.
Margaret
A. Johnson author, taught Sunday school for fifty years.
She has been involved in training Cutting horses, and is a potential
sheep farmer. Her book is the story of her first lamb, whom she loved
very much.
Margaret grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee, and lives on Water Oak Plantation in Tallahassee, Florida next to Millstone Plantation, a historically preserved sheep farm. Her late husband Tom C. Johnson, was a business executive and World War II D-Day veteran of Omaha Beach. They have three children and five grand children.
During her eighty years, Margaret has nurtured all types of animals through uncertain, shaky, and wobbly baby-hoods. She has raised horses, dogs, cats, ducks, squirrels, and of course, little wooly lambs... especially one in particular, Berber. His true story was begging to be told.
